How to Prepare for Incidents During Concerts?

A tricky situation can happen if you’re unprepared.

What does being prepared mean? Trying to remain calm in the face of events or ignoring stress.

As soon as you feel like you have no idea how to handle a particular problem, strengthen your composure each time: lower your voice, speak calmly, and don’t increase your tempo. Maybe that’s what being prepared means?!

That is, being calm no matter what.

Or maybe it’s having been in a similar situation before and you know how to handle it. Not repeating mistakes, thinking through every step ahead.

What if you encountered an unruly fan at your concert for the first time?
Or if all the power went out.
Or if a brawl broke out in the audience, ruining the show.
How would you react?!

If this is your first time, don’t pretend you’ll handle it all and overcome your fears and helplessness. You’ll gain experience, and from this initial experience, you’ll begin to react differently in similar situations.

The best way to deal with problems at concerts and rehearsals is to always write down how you handled them and found solutions. I always keep a notebook with me for this.

If something unpleasant happens next time, I’ll already know how I’ll handle it. If everything goes smoothly, it never hurts to have a backup plan or to be able to prevent problems, knowing they could arise.

Reading this post, you might not even realize how important the information you’ve just received is. But everything will come with experience.

Keep your eyes open and be prepared!
