Decide whether you write lyrics for creativity or for money?

Two Vectors
If you’re a songwriter or poet, you must understand that there are two vectors of development.

The essence of these vectors is that you focus on two values: your creativity and your income.

But in the world of music, these values are at odds. If creativity suddenly rises to the top, becoming easy and convenient for you, your income will plummet. If your pay becomes high, it’s only because your creativity is “muted” and focused on the needs of the masses.

First, you write about yourself, disregarding the interests of others, and gain few fans.

Second, you write about the desires, dreams, and feelings of others, to the detriment of your creativity, and earn a great income.

Lyric Topics
Song lyrics can range from the unpopular (affecting one or a few people) to the ever-popular (affecting everyone).

You can write about your negative attitude toward the government, and then you won’t be lumped in with Robbie Williams. This topic clearly deserves a place outside of pop music.

Such lyrics are unique to the PUNK ROCK genre.

And if you think punk rock is just “fast music,” you’re very much mistaken; that’s not the main thing about this style.

The way you feel and see the world is something no one else in the world sees or feels. Even your attitude toward politics may not be shared by everyone, but there is at least one common theme.
