You must understand one main idea: WE EITHER SPEND TIME OR INVEST MONEY IN OURSELVES! This is a truly colossal opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills of others for a certain price.

Of course, you can figure everything out on your own, but then you’ll have to work your way to mastery for a very long time. It’s much more effective to learn who does what, and how, and then do the same. And sometimes you’ll even have to pay a little money for your own development. I call this investing in yourself.

Investing is investing in your future. The investment itself may be small, but the potential is enormous. Now is the time to invest in your future.

Ask yourself:

Why are you investing?
Where do you want to earn money?
How much do you want to earn?
How long is this investment for?
How will it contribute to your development?
When will it pay off?
When will the desired result be achieved?

By asking and honestly answering these and other questions, you can create a plan for yourself. Plan for it. Plan for a year, three years, five years. Break it down into months and weeks. Set a task for the day. By investing now, see what it can give in the future.

Simple example:

Option 1.

A musician bought a piano course. His goal is to become a member of a pop band (as a keyboardist) within a year. Previously, he was earning $50.
He purchased this course for $500, the skills which the author acquired over the course of five years.
Provided the musician honestly practices, completes all the assignments, and progresses, he will soon begin to play better. His performance will be valued more highly than ever before. Within a year, he will improve his skill.

So,

Divide $500 by 12, which gives us approximately $40 per month. Now he needs to learn to earn a little more than this amount per month. In my experience, you can earn at least $100 per month in the worst case, which will cover your tuition and still have about $60 left over for living expenses (but this varies from country to country, so use your own budget as a guide).

So, the profit is $220.

Per year: expenses – $500 (course cost)
Per year: earnings – $720 (60 x 12)
Per five years: earnings – $3,600

Option 2.

Now, let’s imagine that the musician doesn’t take courses and figures everything out on their own. He gets his hard-earned 50-60 USD per month, playing the same program in the same bar.

In the best case scenario, it will take 5 years to master and consolidate the skills taught in the course. Thus, he loses 5 years to master the skills, when he could already be earning more.
Since our musician earns at least $50, his loss will be:

in a year, he’ll earn $600
in 5 years = $3,000 (annual potential earnings of $600 * 5 years), which is what he could have earned.

So, in 5 years, he could lose $600. That’s a year of learning and playing.

It’s simple – you either invest time or money.

What do you think?!

For me, quickly learning a paid course from someone who already knows the ropes and immediately putting that knowledge into practice will save me time and money.
